Zhaohui

Zhaohui served as a general in the Qing campaign that destroyed the Dzungar Khanate. The campaign involved the systematic destruction of Dzungar cities and the massacre of much of the population, effectively ending the Dzungar as a political entity.

Zhaohui led Qing forces to victory at Khorgos against the remaining Dzungar and Kazakh resistance. The battle secured Qing control over the Ili River valley and completed the pacification of the region.

Zhaohui's forces besieged and captured the city of Yarkand in the Tarim Basin, defeating the Khoja rebellion. The victory extended Qing control over the Tarim Basin and incorporated the region into the empire.
