Zayd ibn Harithah was a former slave who was adopted by Muhammad before his prophethood. He became known as Zayd ibn Muhammad and was one of the earliest converts to Islam, deeply loyal to the Prophet.
Zayd ibn Harithah was the first of three successive commanders killed at the Battle of Mutah against the Byzantine Empire. He died leading the Muslim army, and his death was a significant loss for the early Muslim community.
Zayd ibn Harithah was appointed by Muhammad to lead a military expedition to Tabuk against the Byzantine Empire. Although no battle occurred, the expedition demonstrated Muslim military strength and secured alliances.
