Sarkin Yauri

Sarkin Yauri, as ruler of the Kebbi kingdom, continued the policy of resisting Songhai imperial expansion. He led military campaigns to defend Kebbi's territory and sovereignty against the forces of Askia Mohammed I and his successors.

Sarkin Yauri died, ending his reign over the Kebbi kingdom. His death marked the end of an era of active resistance against Songhai, though Kebbi would continue to exist as a vassal state under Songhai suzerainty.
