Last Suphannaphum king, killed by Bayinnaung.
Mahinthrathirat formed an alliance with King Setthathirath of Lan Xang (Laos) to resist Burmese aggression. The alliance provided temporary military support, but coordination failures and Setthathirath's withdrawal weakened the coalition, leaving Ayutthaya isolated against the Burmese invasion.
Mahinthrathirat commanded the defense of Ayutthaya during the Burmese siege, but internal divisions and betrayal by some nobles led to the city's capture. The failure to hold the capital resulted in the kingdom's collapse and Mahinthrathirat's own capture and death.
Mahinthrathirat was captured and executed by the Burmese king Bayinnaung after the fall of Ayutthaya. His death ended the Suphannaphum dynasty, which had ruled Ayutthaya since its founding by Intharacha. The execution marked the complete subjugation of Ayutthaya under Burmese control.
