Injong of Joseon

Injong became king of Joseon at age 29 following the death of his father, Jungjong. His reign was expected to bring reform but was cut short by his early death.

Injong died after only eight months on the throne, at age 30. His sudden death was suspicious and led to rumors of poisoning, though no definitive evidence was found. He was succeeded by his half-brother Myeongjong.
