Haji Sudi

Haji Sudi became a key military advisor to Mohammed Abdullah Hassan, the Dervish leader. He helped formulate military strategy and tactics that enabled the Dervish to resist British and Ethiopian forces for two decades.

Haji Sudi commanded Dervish forces at the Battle of Erigo against British troops. The Dervish inflicted significant casualties, demonstrating their military capability and boosting morale among their ranks.

Haji Sudi was killed in action during the British aerial and ground assault on the Dervish fortress at Taleh. His death marked the loss of a key strategist and contributed to the collapse of the Dervish state.
