Emilio Aguinaldo

Emilio Aguinaldo (1869–1964) was a Filipino revolutionary leader who commanded forces in the Philippine Revolution against Spain and later against the United States. He became the first President of the Philippines (1899–1901), proclaiming independence in 1898.
