Vjosa Osmani

Osmani served as Acting President after the resignation of Hashim Thaci, who went to The Hague to face war crimes charges. She held the position until the election of a new president.

Osmani was elected President of Kosovo by the Assembly, becoming the second woman to hold the office. Her election followed a political crisis and early elections.
