Umayyah ibn Khalaf

Umayyah ibn Khalaf, as a leader of the Quraysh in Mecca, actively opposed Muhammad's monotheistic message. He persecuted converts, including his own slave Bilal ibn Rabah, whom he tortured for embracing Islam.

Umayyah ibn Khalaf fought against the Muslims at the Battle of Badr. He was captured and subsequently killed by Bilal ibn Rabah, his former slave whom he had tortured for converting to Islam.
