Ri Su-yong

Ri Su-yong was educated in Switzerland, a rare background for a North Korean official. This experience gave him exposure to Western culture and languages, which he later used in diplomatic engagements.

Ri Su-yong was appointed Foreign Minister of North Korea, replacing Ri Yong-ho. He was responsible for North Korea's foreign policy during a period of heightened tensions over nuclear weapons and sanctions.
